Hague Apostille Convention

Where are your
documents going?

The destination helps determine whether an Apostille or another authentication process may be needed. Use the country check before choosing your Hague answer.

The Hague Apostille Convention is the official name of the treaty sometimes called the “Hague Act.” A listing alone is not a final determination.

Return to the intake ↑
Loading the current official HCCH status table…

Country information is retrieved from the official HCCH table when available. A By MaDonna representative must still confirm current status, effective dates, objections, territorial coverage and applicability with the United States before processing.

Open the live official HCCH table ↗
How do I check the official table myself?

Find the destination country, check the “EIF” (entry into force) date and open any objections or notices. Confirm that the Convention applies with the United States and covers the destination territory. If anything is unclear, select “Check answer below” in the intake. We will verify it.
